SYNTHESYS+ has three strands of work:

Access

SYNTHESYS+ funding is available to undertake short research visits to utilise the collections, staff expertise and analytical facilities at 21 partner institutions. Researchers can also propose digitisation through a new digitisation-on-demand service, providing "virtual access" to collections at 19 institutions.

Research

The SYNTHESYS+ consortium are innovating new methods to streamline and speed up access to collections through the development of a series of digital and molecular services. This work involves a series of commercial partners, helping the collections community improve their digitisation infrastructure and data capture capabilities.

Networking

Partners include the foremost international networking organisations who lead SYNTHESYS+ activities to develop new standards, processes, best practices and engagement for the global natural science collections community.
